S & R Smith & Son
S & R Smith & Son is a British family-owned road haulage company based in Essex, England.
The business was established in Stratford, London, in 1949 by the late Samuel Smith, his wife Rose and their son Raymond. Starting out with just two vehicles, they worked for local companies in the East London area, shipping various goods from the docks and warehouses.
The company now operates 15 miles from its original depot, from a new base in West Thurrock, Essex.
